Rodrigo has worked at Lacan since 2016 and oversees the planting and maintenance operations in the field. Before Lacan he served for nine years as Forestry 

Coordinator at Veracel in several areas within the forestry division. Rodrigo also spent four 

years at Votorantim Celulose e Papel (now part of Suzano), with stints in the pest and disease 

control division both in eucalyptus forests and nurseries. 

 

Rodrigo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forest Engineering from Júlio de Mesquita Filho State 

University (UNESP), a Post-graduate degree in Forest Management from Lavras Federal 

University and an MBA degree from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). He also received forest protection training at the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
